 At SweatSAT, we saw a disconnect in the world of SAT prep. Students were memorizing formulas and practicing endlessly, yet still struggling to unlock their full potential. It wasn't a lack of intelligence or effort, but a missing piece: strategic understanding. We realized that the SAT is more than just a test of knowledge; it's a performance, requiring strategic thinking, mental toughness, and the ability to thrive under pressure. This realization stemmed from owner Maria Velicu's experiences as a graduate of TJHSST, achieving a perfect score on the SAT, and as a former professional athlete, performing on the Romanian National Team. She saw firsthand how strategic thinking and a resilient mindset were just as crucial as academic knowledge for achieving success, both in the classroom and on the court. But simply knowing this wasn't enough. After years of seeing talented students fall short of their goals, Ms.Velicu was driven to create a real solution, a system that could empower students to not just learn, but perform. That's why she founded SweatSAT – to bring this strategic approach to a wider audience and transform the way students prepare for the SAT and beyond.
